After receiving her education in psychology from Geneva College in Pennsylvania, Kathryn began her career in the employment business in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She eventually moved to California and is President of The Focus Agency, a nationwide recruiting firm specializing in landscape management, sales/marketing and operations. Kathryn is a Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC), Certified Staffing Professional (CSP), CERS (Certified Employment Retention Specialist).

From 2000-2002, after the merger of two large state associations, Kathryn served as the first state President of California Staffing Professionals. She is the current chair of the Strategic Planning committee and also chairing their 2016 Owners Only Retreat in Tahoe. In 2004 she was honored with the lifetime achievement award.

For 12 years Kathryn was a Trauma Team Volunteer at Northridge Hospital in Los Angeles County, was an active Rotarian serving as the Vocation Chair, and was a board member of the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Los Angeles.  She currently serves on the Economic Development committee of the local Chamber of Commerce and the Simi Valley Community Counsel.

She loves German Shepherds and is married to her college sweetheart.
