CANDIDATES FAQ
Will you keep my job search confidential?
Absolutely. We understand the sensitive nature of job searching, especially if you’re currently employed. Your information and job search status are kept strictly confidential. We never share your details with employers without your explicit permission.
What happens if I'm not selected for a position you've recommended?
If a position you’ve applied for is filled or no longer available, we’ll inform you promptly. We understand that waiting for news can be stressful, so we prioritize quick and clear communication. If we have another suitable opportunity available, we’ll present it to you right away.
How long does the hiring process usually take?
It depends on the company and the position. Most employers conduct multiple interviews with different stakeholders in the organization. Generally, larger companies tend to have longer hiring processes due to more complex decision-making structures. In some cases, decisions are made swiftly, and the entire process might conclude within a week. However, it’s not uncommon for the hiring process to extend over several weeks, especially for senior or specialized roles.
What if I'm offered a job but want to decline?
Share your reasons for declining with us. This helps us understand your needs better for future opportunities.
Do you charge candidates any fees for your services?
No, we never charge candidates for our services.

How do you coach me for an interview?
We’ll give you the inside scoop on company culture, recent developments, and what they truly value in candidates. We’ll also brief you on the backgrounds and personalities of your interviewers. This insider knowledge helps you build rapport and tailor your responses effectively. Most importantly, we’ll coach you on which specific areas of your background to emphasize during the interview. We understand what the company is looking for and will guide you to highlight the experiences and skills that will resonate most with them.
How did you find my background or contact information?
We have a dedicated research team, search tools and a broad network within the landscaping industry.
Which company are you representing? Why is the company name not disclosed? What if I choose not to proceed without that information?
We’re bound to maintain confidentiality with our clients, which is why we can’t disclose the company name until we both agree to move forward. We also prioritize keeping your information private. However, we can share details about the company and the position without revealing the name initially.
I’ve never engaged with a recruiter before—what does your process involve?
After our initial conversation, we present your background to our client without disclosing your name unless they agree to meet with you. We then coach you on what to expect in the interview and debrief with you after. Assuming both parties want to move forward, we coordinate additional interviews with the company and negotiate the offer.
Why is it discouraged to discuss salary during the interview?
You may shoot yourself in the foot by quoting low or eliminate yourself unintentionally by quoting too high. We’re in a stronger position to negotiate on your behalf, taking into account both your best interests and the client’s budget. Allowing us to handle salary discussions ensures you receive the most competitive offer possible.
Why is it necessary to have a prep call before my interview?
Couching equips you with valuable insights about the company, the individual or executive, their interview style, personality, and potential questions they may ask. This preparation helps you feel more informed, so you know exactly what to expect during the interview.
What’s the process after I’m hired and accepted an offer?
We conduct a final meeting with you sharing vital tips on getting started with the new company. We are able to highlight potential pitfalls, key considerations, and practical advice to help you navigate the start of your new career successfully. This process is a vital part of onboarding, designed to set you up for success.
Do you send my resume randomly to prospective companies.
NO, we are not a resume phishing company. The only time a company receives your resume is after you’ve given us permission.
